I am so proud of myself! I finished my first crocheted hat this week! Thank goodness for my besite Elly who has been guiding me through the art of the crochet hook.
A little bit about Elly: She loves arts and crafts and all things fun. She is great at giving instructions and being patient with nut cases like myself, which makes her a wonderful kindergarten teacher/human.
Check out her just launched blog over at Whimsic Elly. She plans to feature a weekly craft project. I think her first featured project should be the awesome hat she finished last night, it has the cutest chunky bow!
So here is the beginner's hat I finished this week:
Here is me modeling the hat at bed time:
I'm so proud of it, even though it's a bit pointy in the back haha... The pattern I used is from Bobwilson123's YouTube tutorial. She also has a blog called Clare's Addicted to Yarn. Thanks Clare!
Great Job! When I first started to crochet hats I often ended up with pointed crowns too. It's all about the increase stitching. Don't worry you'll get the hang of it. For now, you can just say it's a butterfly pixie hat ;-)
