DIY Decor: Paper Flower Ball

I got the idea for trying a paper flower ball from Project Wedding. This was just to test it out to show my sister, who is getting married in July and we are doing our own decorations. I simply used a glue gun, a styrofoam ball, Q-tips, scissors and paper.

I rolled the papaer around the Q-tips.

Collected a bunch.

Stuck them in the styrofoam ball.

I didn't take a picture of the finished product, I brought it to New York with me to show Rachel at her bachelorette party but it looked great. If I choose to do this, or have any time to do it again I will upgrade to color paper!

Banana Bread Pudding

I found a few recipes online and took a bit from each. This is what I came up with:

6 slices of cinnamon bread
4 eggs, beaten
3 cups milk
2 ripe bananas, mashed
3/4 cups sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
2. Break the bread into pieces and put in a bowl with the milk for a few minutes.
3. Combine eggs, sugar, cinnamon and vanilla in a bowl and beat until well mixed. Pour over bread and milk, and mix it all up.
4. Put in baking pan and bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until edges are golden.

And it turned out great! Here is the photographic evidence:
A slice of the heavenly bread.

Ripped up bread in the bowl.
Combine the ingredients.

Fresh out the oven.

Delicious bread pudding!

Inside the Exterior: 22 Colby

This is the house I grew up in! My Mom recently revamped the curb appeal, giving the house fresh blue siding, and jet black shutters. Nice job Mom!

Do you see my car peeking into the frame on the left? That's the "Party Lexus."

22 is always our family lucky number.

The dining room makes me think of Christmas, Easter, and Sunday night dinners with the family.

Beachy Bachelorette Party

This weekend we had a bachelorette party for my older sister Rachel. 10 girls, including the bride to be, trekked out to the Hamptons from all over the country to be there for this exciting occasion. Her friends from high school, college, me and my other sister stayed in her friend's house in Sag Harbor.

We put together a scrap book with pictures of us with Rachel over the years. It was so great!

The first page of the extensive scrapbook. Totes ador.

The view from the backyard of the Civetta's house!

It was raining most of Saturday, so we went shopping in Sag Harbor.

I should specify, we went window shopping. I don't think any of us bought anything, except ice cream!

Rachel, about to enter the chains of marriage.

Tears of joy!

Theresa Explores: Sag Harbor, NY

This weekend I bipped over to the Hamptons for my sister's bachelorette party! We caroused the shops in Sag Harbor and I obviously lugged along my amazing new camera.

I snapped pictures whenever I was inspired.

This was at the Shell Shop.

Lots of shells to choose from. I purchased 3 sand dollars for $1 each. I intend framing each one and hanging them in my beachy decor room.

Scarves are my new obsession! I have 5 and I want 500 more!

We each threatened to buy a new dress to where to dinner that night. But no one did. I enjoyed the sequined leopard print dress, it is so my style!
